Dubai Civil Defence introduces Personal Dashboard for all residents and visitors

The Dubai Civil Defence has launched and introduced the Personal Dashboard, which empowers citizen, residents and visitors by connecting them to Dubai Civil Defence services for their daily needs and 'city interactions' in a more efficient and seamless application. Using Personal Dashboard, users can import their personal data and view them in a great intuitive interface. This unique way will also allow to visualize data keeping them informed and connected.

Launching this new initiative, Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, said: “Dubai’s Smart City initiatives are not merely about automation, it is about connecting people to their needs. Dubai Civil Defence cares about the safety and happiness of its citizens, residents and visitors; the Personal Dashboard will now enable real-time public engagement like never before. This is in extension to the Dubai Life Safety Dashboard, which assists Dubai Civil Defence and building owners in Dubai to monitor city/building live from a single screen.”

With Personal Dashboard, the Dubai Civil Defence has joined Dubai government's MyID service, to enable single sign-on for users to access their dashboard. This will give the public smooth access to Personal Dashboard wherever they are and thereby effectively contributes to the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in transforming Dubai with a smart government and becoming the smartest city in the world.

    The 24x7 Command Control Center has captured more than 6,490 real life safety alarms since the time of its inception. The Command Control Center has played a vital role in capturing and preventing fire and life safety incidents in Dubai. Statistics show steady reduction in serious incidents in Dubai owing to faster response and timely maintenance of life and safety systems. Since August 2008 until 31st October 2015, there are more than 51,652 assets subscribed and 43,469 assets connected to 24x7 Direct Alarm System. In October 2015, 98 life safety incidents were captured while monitoring these connected assets.
